Internship: Social Media (Part-Time/Seasonal)

About The Position

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is a prominent integrated sports and entertainment company that owns and operates multiple sports teams including the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics. MSE also manages a regional sports network, Monumental Sports Network, and several venues such as Capital One Arena. This internship offers hands-on digital experience in the sports industry, supporting the Digital Team of the Capital City Go-Go (G League).

Requirements

Current undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate.
Experience in social media publishing for a team, brand, or company.
Availability to work 25 hours per week from September 2026 to May 2027.
Experience in shooting/editing video content for social media.
Deep understanding and awareness of TikTok & Reels style of editing and curation.
Strong organizational skills; ability to balance and prioritize several projects at once.
Knowledgeable about NBA Players and teams.
Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Availability to work most Capital City Go-Go games and additional flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed throughout the NBA/G League season.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with photography is preferred.
In-depth experience with Premiere Pro, Photoshop & Lightroom is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in the ideation, planning, and creation of engaging social media content for the Capital City Go-Go accounts.
Collaborate with the Digital Media Team to implement “social-first” content ideas and strategy.
Monitor social media trends to identify new content opportunities.
Pull social media analytics reports for tentpole events.
Coordinate with Digital team members for daily social media responsibilities, including drafting, scheduling, and publishing posts across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
Capture real-time photo/video content at games and community events.
Help maintain the organization of the content calendar and digital assets for distribution among all Digital team members.
Other duties as assigned.
