Join us this summer in our Overland Park, KS office as a Social Media Intern for our Summer Internship Program! Social media is a fast-paced, exciting field with endless opportunities for creativity. As an intern, you'll have the chance to brainstorm and help bring engaging brand content to life across various social platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest. More about our Social Internship Contribute to the creative process for social media clients by participating in brainstorms for content ideas and assisting in the development of both static and video post Support client influencer marketing efforts with travel itinerary development and content monitoring/reporting Assist with the daily logistical tasks of our social media team, including community management, meeting attendance/note taking, client reporting, deck development and other duties as assigned The Social Media Intern will work alongside our Community Managers under the supervision of Social Media Managers and Social Media Directors on client-specific project In collaboration with all MMGY interns, the social media intern will contribute to a designated client project that will be introduced during their first week The Social Media Intern will work in our social media management tool, Sprout Social, as well as in our content development tools like Canva and CapCut

Requirements

  • Cultural Awareness: Understands nuances of online and offline culture and how trends, news cycles and platform shifts should inform brand performance on social media
  • Creativity: Faces challenges with a creative mind and an ability to communicate effectively, and on brand, on behalf of clients through written captions and selected post visuals
  • Attention to Detail: Able to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining an eye for the small details balancing both speed and accuracy of work
  • Social Platform Fluency: Understand the nuances of individual platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn), not just as a consumer but more broadly how brands activate on them to reach a wide swath of audience demographics
  • Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
