Office Work Model: Hybrid — In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote Monday and Friday The Social Media Intern will assist the NRF social media director with planning, creating and executing social content that grows and enhances the NRF’s social channels. The intern will support daily content production, trend research, and cross-platform strategy, bringing strong creative skills and a proactive, leadership-driven mindset.

Requirements

  • Rising senior or recent graduate
  • Strong experience managing social media accounts and growing online communities
  • Excellent business writing and communication skills
  • Video editing experience required
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and trends
  • Organized, enthusiastic, and eager to learn

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of social campaigns and daily content needs across platforms, including social video.
  • Develop strategies that ensure consistent posting, community engagement and brand alignment
  • Research the digital and social media landscape and make recommendations based on emerging trends, best practices and competitive analysis
  • Create social-first assets using Canva, CapCut, and other design or editing tools
  • Write clear, concise news summaries for daily NRF SmartBrief newsletters
  • Collaborate with internal teams and take initiative on content ideas, special projects, and campaigns
  • Other duties as assigned
