About The Position

This internship will work onsite at OSF Ministry Headquarters in Peoria, IL. The intern will work 20 hours a week (Monday-Friday) and is looking to bring on a student to work during the fall 2026 school semester. The social media intern will support OSF HealthCare’s digital presence by creating, scheduling and monitoring engaging content across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for sharing stories that highlight our Mission, services and people, while ensuring brand consistency and accuracy. The intern will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to strengthen community engagement, grow our online presence and support systemwide initiatives.

Requirements

• Current student attending college or university pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok).
• Skilled in writing, content editing and creative storytelling.
• Familiarity with social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
• Experience with editing short-form video content.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and schedule social media content using a social media management platform, while aligning with organizational goals.
• Organize and plan monthly content schedules across different platforms.
• Attend events and visit facility locations to capture compelling content for reels, stories and graphics.
• Stay current on platform updates, trends and best practices to optimize engagement.
• Conduct light research and assist in creative brainstorming to support content creation.
