About The Position

The Social Media Intern supports Red Aspen’s Creative Team by creating engaging, trend-driven short-form video content for social media. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media, enjoys creating content on their phone, and stays current with emerging trends across platforms like TikTok and Instagram. This position provides hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling while developing skills in short-form video production and editing.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, Film and Television, or a related field.
  • Passion for social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
  • Comfortable filming and editing videos on a smartphone.
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and current social media trends.
  • Strong creative eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and engaging content.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to emerging trends and produce content in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new creative tools and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating content for personal, school, or business social media accounts.
  • Familiarity with CapCut or other mobile video editing applications.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and what makes content perform well.
  • Photography or graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera when needed.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant work.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging short-form video content to be used across social media platforms and the company website.
  • Film and edit social videos that align with current platform trends while maintaining Red Aspen's brand voice and aesthetic.
  • Support filming and editing for brand videos, product features, and event coverage, ensuring content aligns with creative direction and brand standards.
  • Edit videos using CapCut to produce polished, high-quality content.
  • Collaborate with the Creative, Marketing, and Social Media teams to bring concepts to life through compelling visual storytelling.
  • Assist with content planning, brainstorming sessions, and creative ideation.
  • Create timely, relevant videos that support marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, and community engagement.
  • Work with the videographer and creative team to bring concepts to life through visual storytelling.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on social media best practices, platform updates, and evolving content trends.
