About The Position

selfpublishing.com is launching its Summer 2027 Social Media Internship Program. The role is an in-person summer internship based in the company’s Westlake (Austin) office. The intern will create and publish content for selfpublishing.com and CEO Chandler Bolt’s personal brand, participating in the weekly process of planning, filming, editing, and distributing social media content. The work will be published rather than simply stored internally.

The internship also offers hands-on learning in content-team workflows, company and founder brand development, short-form editing and storytelling, social media analytics, and the relationship between social media and business results.

Requirements

• Be a student studying marketing, communications, film, journalism, or a related field.
• Know how to edit using a phone or computer.
• Be creative and enjoy storytelling.
• Be a self-starter who can take feedback and turn work around quickly.
• Have an interest in entrepreneurship and business building, or in reading, writing, and books.

• A portfolio, personal page, or other content you have made.
• Interest in both entrepreneurship and books.

Responsibilities

• Create original short-form content, including Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts, for selfpublishing.com and CEO Chandler Bolt’s personal brand.
• Edit and repurpose long-form content, including podcast episodes and YouTube videos, into short clips for both brands.
• Write captions, hooks, and on-screen text that match each brand’s voice.
• Help plan and film content in the Austin office, including behind-the-scenes, founder, and team content.
• Research trending formats, sounds, and creators in author, book, and entrepreneurship spaces, and pitch new ideas.
• Schedule and post content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Track post performance and share what is working in weekly check-ins.
• Engage with communities by replying to comments and direct messages.
