Job Summary: Crooked is looking for a Social Media Coordinator who will support day-to-day publishing, content production, and strategy implementation across all social Crooked Media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter (we just can’t say ‘X’, sorry), and other platforms). This role will report to the VP, Marketing until the Associate Director, Social is onboarded. Candidates must have experience creating, distributing, and reporting on social content and representing brands or individuals to digital audiences. This role is based out of our Los Angeles office, and follows a hybrid schedule based on the job’s needs. We are looking for Los Angeles-based candidates or candidates willing to relocate by the time of start date.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Social Media, preferably in News and/or Entertainment
  • Must be extremely organized with a passion for process, procedures, and structure
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate across teams, both in writing and verbally.
  • You are a practical thinker and pride yourself on being solution-oriented
  • Social Media expertise – including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Strong computer skills in Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, with working knowledge of Dropbox and other communication tools. Or knowledge of similar software tools, and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Must be dynamic and proactive, take initiative, and be a team player
  • You’re calm, cool, and collected as things change. You know being nimble is key to a role like this, and you know how to reprioritize as things change
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment
  • You’re curious about learning new things and open to exploring new tools and processes when appropriate

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the main point of contact on the publishing of social posts, including scheduling, copy approvals, tagging, content QC, and monitoring performance
  • Track KPIs for social channels and work with the Associate Director of Social to create clear paths to metrics goals
  • Help implement social media roadmap for Crooked that defines voice, social guidelines, and content and editorial strategy
  • Ensure that Crooked branding standards and messaging are maintained across all platforms
  • Ensure that Crooked’s branding standards, messaging, and style guides are maintained
  • Apply creative thinking to the analysis of content trends and breaking news, events, etc., and how they can be utilized in Crooked’s social distribution strategy to grow social following and the Crooked audience
  • Work with internal teams across Content and Design, to plan and publish the mix of original content and promotional content for Crooked brands (merch, tour, books, subscription)
  • Develop real-time social campaigns and promotion plans around major tentpole events, trends, and cultural milestones, when needed and when aligned to bandwidth
  • Manage daily community moderation efforts
  • Provide reporting via Sprout and platform analytics as needed, usually quarterly at a minimum
  • Monitor the community to identify and document trends
  • Document interesting case studies to share insights and examples
  • Use knowledge of best practices, optimization tips, and SEO techniques to oversee posting guidelines and direct images, tags, descriptions, and metadata
  • Identify content trends and breaking news, and apply creative thinking to how they can be utilized towards social posting and distribution strategy
  • Keep tabs on industry trends and identify new platforms for distribution
  • Identify social influencers to follow and engage with, and fan communities to interact with and grow Crooked’s brand visibility
