About The Position

The Social Media Assistant supports marketing for the Callie’s brand, staying on task in a fast-paced environment. This position is also managing all social media strategy, schedules, and posting at the direction of the Senior Marketing Coordinator. This role also requires managing inquiries for collabs, events, parties, and is the voice of the brand. Social media, e-commerce, and marketing is an integral part to this role as well, managing day to day communications with our agency, strategizing, and tracking and reporting in the results weekly. Quick and creative thinking is a must in this role – with a self-starter mentality and the ability to take direction and feedback well. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Love for biscuits and other Southern specialties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to listen and provide open dialogue
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to build relationships
  • A creative mind and the ability to execute clean, creative designs, concepts and solutions for a wide range of media platforms
  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in tech including all social media platforms and tools such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Deliver work that is consistent, on time, error-free and in keeping with brand standards
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to ask the right questions to create designs influenced by research and data
  • Ongoing commitment to staying current on usability and user experience trends, techniques and technologies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Associate’s degree required or equivalent experience
  • One+ year in a marketing role preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Produce email marketing campaigns
  • Research and create blog content for websites
  • Maintain online business listings and monitor customer reviews
  • Create artwork, splash pages and microsite for digital campaigns
  • Coordinate content for social media channels, including creating, scheduling and posting
  • Be handy with a camera, phone camera and photo editing software
  • Communicate and build relationships with influencers to form collaborative relationships
  • Respond to all customer comments, messages, etc. in a timely (at times urgent) manner to ensure engagement rates are maintained and | or improved
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
