About The Position

We are looking for a creative and strategic social media coordinator to work in our communications department. You will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's online presence and communication strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to help develop and execute social media campaigns, content creation, and community engagement initiatives. To be successful as a social media assistant, you must have excellent time management, communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter).
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creativity and an eye for visual design.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in marketing or social media preferable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Basic graphic design skills (using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm campaigns.
  • Create and schedule engaging content in alignment with the overall communications strategy.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, discussions, and relevant industry news.
  • Coordinate the content calendar, ensuring that all social media channels are updated regularly with engaging content.
  • Prepare reports on campaigns based on analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Officer to ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms.
