About The Position

Sunrun is seeking a versatile Social Media & Content Specialist who is a master storyteller, a creative trend-spotter, and a digital native. This is a high-impact hybrid role designed for someone who can turn complex renewable energy topics into engaging content while simultaneously driving a robust sales pipeline. The specialist will be the architect of Sunrun's digital presence, bringing the brand to life across its social ecosystem, using social media as a strategic lever for both brand growth and lead generation. This role combines high-level creative strategy with a targeted focus on supporting sales objectives through strategic digital engagement.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience managing social media for a high-growth brand or creative agency.
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating ability to create engaging short-form video and high-performing social campaigns.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the inner workings of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube algorithms.
  • Proficiency in mobile editing apps (CapCut, InShot) and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Rush, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Ability to move at the speed of social, prioritizing breaking trends and high-priority brand moments in real-time.
  • Familiarity with using AI to enhance creative brainstorming and streamline content production tasks.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable being "on-camera" or directing others during content shoots.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across all major platforms.
  • Create, edit, and publish high-quality, engaging multimedia content, including short-form video (Reels/TikToks), graphics, and copy.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity while adapting messaging for different audience segments.
  • Manage a detailed content calendar to ensure regular posting and alignment with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales teams to develop content that addresses customer pain points and highlights product value propositions.
  • Design and implement social selling strategies to identify and engage potential leads.
  • Create bottom-of-the-funnel content such as case studies, testimonials, and product demos tailored for social distribution.
  • Monitor social channels for sales opportunities and facilitate hand-offs to the sales department.
  • Create compelling video content that highlights Sunrun's sales channels and earning potential to attract high-performing sales professionals.
  • Develop plug-and-play social assets for the recruiting team to help them source top-tier talent via LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Travel to sales offices and branches to capture the energy, competitions, and success stories that define Sunrun's internal culture.
  • Actively manage and grow online communities by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and engage with industry influencers and brand advocates to expand reach.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm changes, and competitor activity to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.
  • Track and report on KPIs including engagement rates, follower growth, website traffic from social, and SQLs generated.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize content performance and ROI.
  • Analyze social metrics with a focus on recruitment conversion—tracking how social engagement leads to applicant flow.
  • Leverage AI tools for rapid video editing and captioning to ensure rapid content production without losing quality.
