About The Position

Chuffed.org is a global crowdfunding platform that supports social justice movements. They are seeking a Social Media Content Creator to produce short-form video and photo content for platforms like Instagram. This role involves editing, voicing, and producing engaging content such as reels and carousels from raw footage and campaign moments. The creator will work independently to ensure content is polished, high-performing, and aligns with the brand.

This is a hands-on production role focused solely on content creation, not strategy or community management. The goal is to create content that captures attention and effectively tells the story of social justice campaigns.

Requirements

• Skilled in editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar, with the ability to produce clean, well-paced short-form video quickly.
• Possess a good eye for what makes a photo or video authentic, current, and platform-native.
• Self-directed, able to deliver on a brief without constant supervision and self-check work for quality.
• Reliable, consistently hitting deadlines and communicating proactively about any issues.
• Comfortable with feedback and able to iterate on work without being overly attached.
• Excited to contribute craft to social justice storytelling, even if not an activist.
• Must provide a portfolio or at least 2 examples of past work in the application.

Responsibilities

• Produce short-form video, including editing and producing polished vertical reels with voiceovers, pacing, captions, sound, and effects.
• Design high-quality carousel posts for social media feeds.
• Deliver a consistent output of 3 pieces of content per week, meeting deadlines and high standards.
• Work independently, taking a brief or raw material and managing the workflow to completion.
• Apply strong editing instincts, pacing, and visual judgment to create high-performing content.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and fast-turnaround requests for urgent campaigns.
