About The Position

Helaina is a nutrition biotech company focused on creating the nutrients of the future. We are seeking a Social Media and Content Intern to capture live content within our New York office. This role will be responsible for creating engaging and credible content across various platforms, focusing on the company culture, people, science, milestones, and the founder's story, as well as supporting the CEO's content and explaining our lead ingredient, effera®. The intern will shoot, edit, and deliver finished video assets monthly, maintaining an organized asset library and proposing new content ideas.

Requirements

Proficiency in shooting video content with a phone and making it look intentional.
Competent editing skills in CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or Canva.
Ability to work independently from concept to finished asset.
Flexibility with scheduling to adapt to shifting dates around the CEO's availability.
Understanding of how Instagram and LinkedIn function.
Comfort directing a CEO, including requesting retakes and managing lighting.
BYO equipment (phone/camera and editing software).

Nice To Haves

An interest in science, nutrition, biotech, or health.
Experience making technical subject matter feel human.
Basic graphic or motion work skills in Canva or After Effects.

Responsibilities

Shoot short-form video in the NYC office based on a monthly content plan.
Act as the primary point person for founder content, capturing the CEO's activities.
Direct simple on-camera setups, including talking-head pieces.
Edit footage into finished, caption-ready assets for Instagram and LinkedIn.
Cover company culture, team moments, lab/production environments, and brand-appropriate content.
Maintain a clear shot log and organized asset library in Google Drive.
Propose content ideas and take direction from the marketing manager.
Flag any content related to product claims or study data to the manager for review.
