About The Position

The purpose of a SOCIAL HOUR ATTENDANT SERVER is to deliver complimentary beverages and food to hotel guests with exemplary customer service skills while also selling premium cocktails, beverages and restaurant menu items to guests. This role involves engaging with customers, taking orders, upselling specials, preparing and serving food, pouring alcoholic beverages, and ensuring compliance with alcohol serving regulations. The attendant is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the club lounge.

Requirements

Must be legal age for service alcohol.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Must speak English fluently.
Must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol.
Must be ABT and Serve Safe Certified within 30 days of hire, if not already certified.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers while delivering complimentary beverages and food.
Order/serve drinks and food as requested.
Upsell weekly specials to guests.
Prepare and serve food, following food safety requirements.
Pour alcoholic beverages for guests, following alcohol serving and safety requirements.
Ensure that guests meet federal and state requirements by verifying legal limit for consuming alcoholic beverages.
Maintain social hour beverages and snacks as necessary.
Ensure that all state and company requirements for serving alcohol are met.
Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and guest facing appearance of club lounge.
