About The Position

The purpose of a SOCIAL HOUR ATTENDANT is to deliver complimentary beverages and food to hotel guests with exemplary customer service skills. This role requires a friendly, personable, and hospitable server who is comfortable multi-tasking, engaging with guests, and taking orders. The position is Monday - Friday from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Must be legal age for service alcohol.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Must speak English fluently.
  • Must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol.
  • Must be TIPS and Serve Safe Certified within 30 days of hire, if not already certified.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers while delivering complimentary food.
  • Prepare and serve food, following food safety requirements.
  • Pour alcoholic beverages for guests, following alcohol serving and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that guests meet federal and state requirements by verifying legal limit for consuming alcoholic beverages.
  • Order social hour beverages and snacks as necessary.
  • Follow hotel instructions for providing guests with complimentary beverages.
  • Ensure that all state and company requirements for serving alcohol are met.
  • Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
