About The Position

Corlann Limerick is inviting applications for the position of SOCIAL CARE MANAGER GRADE 3 (AREA MANAGER). This is a Permanent Full Time position with a 39-hour work week, located in LIMERICK COMMUNITY SERVICES/ LIMERICK COUNTY. The role involves leading, driving, and implementing change with excellent interpersonal, communication, and IT skills. The candidate will need strong leadership qualities, be highly motivated, innovative, and able to work on their own initiative, with the ability to manage and influence staff in a team environment. A strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations, as well as New Directions Standards, is required. Experience in providing residential and day services to adults with intellectual disabilities, and specifically to adults with autism and an intellectual disability, is also necessary. The role requires regular meetings with staff and service users, which may occur outside of normal working hours, and will involve working some weekends throughout the year.

Requirements

• Possess a relevant level 8 qualification e.g. Social Care, Quality, Nursing, Management, etc.
• At least 3 years post qualification experience in people management.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills.
• Strong leadership qualities, highly motivated, innovative with the ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of New Directions Standards.
• Relevant knowledge and experience of providing residential & day services to adults with an Intellectual Disability.
• Relevant knowledge and experience of providing services to adults with autism and an Intellectual disability.
• Possess a full clean driving licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities
