The Security Analyst Sr. is responsible for managing the delivery of information and network security systems and/or technology services, which may include server, desktop, software, network, database, helpdesk components. This role serves as an escalation point for junior analysts during security event investigations and incident response activities, mentoring and guiding them to improve investigation quality and operational consistency. The SOC Shift Lead will coordinate analyst shift activities, assist with maintaining operational coverage schedules, including on-call coordination and PTO planning, and contribute to the development and maintenance of SOC procedures, playbooks, and operational documentation. They will also provide trouble resolution for complex problems, lead implementations for system and network security technologies, develop testing plans, and coordinate reporting of data security events and incidents. Additionally, this role provides system and network architecture support, technical support for risk assessments and security procedure implementation, and represents major upgrades in change control. The lead will also design and analyze vendor services, maintain vendor relationships, lead initiatives to consolidate equipment, determine and perform complex configuration changes, perform capacity analysis, and serve as the technical escalation for preventative maintenance routines. They will supervise preventative maintenance, represent infrastructure security in significant projects, and perform the most complex operations and administration tasks, responding to level 3 & 4 change and problem requests without supervision, and leading level 1 & 2 incident recoveries and root cause analysis.
