About The Position

A SOC Manager is responsible for managing the SOC team, which monitors, detects, and responds to cybersecurity threats 24/7.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, threat landscapes, cloud security, and incident response protocols
  • Ability to inspire teams, manage conflicts, and make strategic decisions
  • Capability to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Hiring, mentoring, and training SOC analysts and engineers, establishing career paths, and preventing burnout in high-stress roles
  • Incident Response: Acting as incident commander during security events, coordinating containment, removal, and recovery, and aligning with frameworks
  • Security Strategy: Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and overall cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Tool and Technology Management: Overseeing SOC tools, cloud security platforms, and automated detection systems to improve efficiency and threat response
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translating complex technical security issues into actionable insights for executives and other departments
