We are seeking a SOC Analyst Tier 1 (Secret Clearance) to support enterprise SOC operations. This role reviews, triages and investigates alerts under direct supervision, contributing to improved incident detection. The SOC Analyst Tier 1 position is designed for individuals starting their cybersecurity careers, requiring foundational knowledge and the ability to apply basic technical principles. Requirements

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and SOC operations.
  • Familiarity with incident detection, alert triage and escalation processes.
  • Ability to apply foundational technical knowledge to routine problems.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills under supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
  • Applicants must currently hold and maintain an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Review, triage and investigate alerts to support incident detection.
  • Escalate issues to Tier 2 analysts when appropriate.
  • Perform initial analysis of security events to identify potential threats.
  • Support SOC monitoring activities under supervision.
  • Assist in documenting findings and maintaining SOC records.
  • Apply basic technical knowledge to resolve straightforward problems.
  • Participate in training and skill development to build cybersecurity expertise.
