About The Position

Snowbird is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Snowmakers. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal snow conditions across the mountain during the winter season. Snowbird offers a unique resort experience with both summer and winter seasons, providing full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions. As a Snowmaker, you will operate and maintain snowmaking equipment under the guidance of the Director of Snowmaking & Hill Maintenance and the Snowmaking Manager.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High level of physical fitness.
• Must be an expert skier or snowboarder.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with other snowmakers.
• Ability to interact pleasantly with guests and employees across departments.

Nice To Haves

• Basic mechanical skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment including snow guns, hoses, hydrants, and pumps.
• Relocate snowmaking equipment across the mountain, involving extensive hiking and snowmobile use.
• Comply with all safety procedures within Mountain Operations.
• Complete nightly work and maintenance logs.
• Accurately report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
