Snowflake / PL-SQL Developer
About The Position
NTT DATA is hiring a Snowflake / PL-SQL Developer to design, build, and maintain software and database solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements and align with program strategy. The role focuses on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Snowflake development, data analysis and modeling, data APIs, data migration and integration, batch processing, and performance tuning. The developer will collaborate with global, cross-functional teams and customers, contribute directly to the codebase, and translate storyboards and use cases into applications. The position also includes leadership guidance and mentorship for team members. The developer will lead application design efforts, participate in design and code reviews, contribute to product quality planning and regression testing, and help improve engineering practices in acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). The role works in an Agile software delivery environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, performing data analysis and data modeling, designing and implementing data APIs, and tuning performance.
- At least 5 years of Snowflake development experience, including complex Snowflake SQL, views, tables, stored procedures/UDFs, data-loading routines, and transformation logic.
- At least 3 years of experience writing and maintaining batch jobs with technologies such as ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
- At least 5 years of experience with fundamental design principles for building scalable applications.
- At least 5 years of experience following ATDD and writing automated tests for database code.
- At least 5 years of experience in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
- Understanding of mid-tier technologies such as Java, messaging technologies, and web containers, and how they interact with data.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, and an interest in writing clean, testable, readable, maintainable, and performant code.

- Experience with cloud technologies such as Snowflake and S3.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements and align with the program’s strategic direction.
- Write Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code and perform data analysis, data modeling, data API design and implementation, and performance tuning.
- Develop Snowflake SQL, views, tables, stored procedures and UDFs, data-loading routines, and transformation logic.
- Integrate or migrate Oracle/PLSQL and ETL workloads to Snowflake, including incremental data processing, data reconciliation, query-performance optimization, warehouse sizing, role-based access control, and CI/CD deployment.
- Write and maintain batch jobs using technologies such as ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
- Lead application design efforts and participate in design and code reviews.
- Contribute to product quality planning, including test-case development, design and code reviews, and regression testing, with the aim of automating most testing.
- Follow ATDD and write automated tests for database code.
- Contribute to improving engineering practices in ATDD and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with global developers, customers, and multi-subject-area team members.
- Translate storyboards and use cases into applications.
- Provide leadership guidance and mentorship to help team members reach their performance levels and career potential.
