About The Position

We are seeking a Snowflake Lead with extensive Data Engineering experience, specifically within the Property & Casualty (P&C) or Specialty Insurance domain. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on Snowflake development, and expertise in building and supporting robust data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing onshore/offshore teams and a deep understanding of Snowflake's advanced features, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms.

Requirements

12+ years of Data Engineering / Analytics experience
8+ years of hands-on Snowflake development and production support
4+ years as a Technical Lead managing onshore/offshore teams
4+ years in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain
Strong experience with Snowflake (Advanced SQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Performance Tuning, Security/RBAC)
Hands-on expertise in Talend ETL / Talend Open Studio
Strong Python programming (including Snowpark preferred)
Strong AWS Cloud data platform experience
Expertise in Data Engineering, ELT/ETL pipelines, CDC, and Data Modeling
Production support, Root Cause Analysis, and Month-End Closing activities
Strong SQL optimization, query tuning, and warehouse performance optimization
Excellent stakeholder communication and customer-facing leadership skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI / AI-enabled analytics
Knowledge of Qlik Replicate and real-time/batch data ingestion
AI/ML data engineering experience (feature engineering, ML data pipelines, fraud detection, risk scoring)
Experience with CI/CD for Snowflake deployments

Responsibilities

Lead data engineering initiatives using Snowflake.
Provide hands-on Snowflake development and production support.
Manage onshore and offshore data engineering teams.
Develop and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines.
Perform data modeling.
Implement and manage Change Data Capture (CDC).
Utilize Snowflake Cortex AI for analytics.
Engage in AI/ML data engineering tasks, including feature engineering and ML data pipelines.
Optimize SQL queries and warehouse performance.
Conduct production support, root cause analysis, and support month-end closing activities.
Ensure CI/CD practices for Snowflake deployments.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide customer-facing leadership.
