About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Platform Operations Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting and optimizing our Snowflake environment, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. You will work with various tools and technologies to automate operations, manage integrations, and troubleshoot issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data platform operations, SQL, scripting, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Snowflake platform operations or support.
• Proficiency in SQL and basic scripting (Python or Bash) for operational automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Linux system administration and batch scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys).
• Basic AWS IaaS administration; Azure or GCP experience acceptable.
• Understanding of ITSM processes and tools (ServiceNow).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting Snowflake integrations with business analytics tools (Power BI, Looker, Quicksight).
• Exposure to Snowpark container services and Snowpipe stream analytics.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex AI services.
• Experience with CMDB tools such as CloudAware.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for the Snowflake data platform.
• Automate operational tasks using SQL and scripting (Python or Bash).
• Manage and support Snowflake integrations with business analytics tools.
• Utilize CI/CD tools for deployment and infrastructure automation.
• Perform Linux system administration tasks and manage batch scheduling.
• Administer basic AWS IaaS, with Azure or GCP experience also considered.
• Understand and apply ITSM processes and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Snowflake platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability and performance.
