About The Position

Desk staff work directly under the Desk Supervisor and are responsible for selling and making reservations for Snow Sports lessons, Nastar & Race registration and sales, along with handling operational procedures that accompany these duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook familiarity.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology.
  • Able to analyze, interpret and present data in various formats.
  • Able to work with computers, copiers, scanners and various other technologies in offices and on resort.
  • Maintain office, employee and company confidentiality at all times.
  • Dependable and meets goals.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
  • Regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Sales 32 and/ or Flaik a plus.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with reservations and smooth check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Promote safety and skier/rider responsibility as a top priority.
  • Handle financial transactions in a responsible and honest manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate questions or concerns with supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work space.
  • Read and comply with the Crystal Mountain Employee Handbook and Snow Sports Policy & Procedures Manual.
  • Keep up to date with the Communication Log, emails, required training and meetings.
  • Enthusiastically promote all Snow Sports programs and events.
  • Maintain a positive, creative, friendly, courteous and enthusiastic attitude with guests and fellow employees.
  • Understand Snow Sports profit objectives and strive to meet those departmental goals in relationship to your personal goals.
  • Advise a supervisor and/or ski patrol of hazardous situations.
  • Perform other jobs and duties as assigned.
