About The Position

Homewood is seeking a Snow Removal Operator to join the Parking & Transportation Department. Snow Removal Operators are responsible for removing snow from all Homewood parking lots during and after snowstorms. The goal is to maintain safe, accessible parking areas and ensure a smooth experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • Valid Class C Driver License and a driving record meeting the standards required by Homewood’s insurance carrier.
  • Previous experience operating large heavy equipment is required.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Winter snow-plowing experience is preferred.
  • Prior ski resort or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy-duty equipment, primarily loaders.
  • Be available to work off-hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Inspect equipment and fluid levels before use.
  • Fuel equipment as needed.
  • Inspect tire chains and coordinate with vehicle mechanics for repairs or adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate all equipment safely and responsibly, prioritizing safe and efficient snow removal over speed.
  • Immediately report any leaks, spills, equipment damage, or other safety concerns to the Base Operations Director by phone or text.
  • Help protect the mountain environment by taking care to prevent and promptly address fuel, hydraulic fluid, or other spills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
