About The Position

The Snow Removal Attendant will be responsible for assisting the Grounds team on Snow Removal around Resort Base area, HOA's & Mountain Home units during active snowstorms. An active storm cycle is defined as the time between the first snowfall of a storm and the last snowfall of a storm with no more than 24 hours of no snow in between. Prior to forecasted active storm cycles, staff will be contacted and scheduled based on pre-determined scheduled availability. Staff will be required to submit scheduled availability for a minimum of two shifts (up to 10 hours) per week.

Requirements

  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Operate 2-way radios for communication to other staff.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Snow removal on steps and pathways throughout resort, HOA's & Mountain Homes.
  • Shovel snow for long periods of time.
  • Operate Snow Blowers.
  • Spread ice-melt on pathways, steps, walkways, bridges, decks and patios as needed.
