About The Position

Southview Design is seeking experienced Snow Equipment Operators to join its team for the snow season. The operator runs snow-removal equipment to clear walks, driveways, and parking lots during snow events. This is an on-call position with varying hours and schedules, and availability is expected 24/7 during winter weather, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.

The role includes operating machinery, performing ice management and salt application as directed, communicating with coordinators and supervisors, and following company procedures, safety requirements, and personnel policies. Duties and responsibilities may change as needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a pre-season equipment operations inspection demonstrating proficiency and safety compliance before operating snow-removal machinery.
• Be physically fit enough to meet the job's physical demands.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and consistently.
• Move about the work site and sustain activities such as walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting for up to 100% of the workday.
• Be available for 24/7 on-call work during winter weather, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Zone Coordinator, Area Supervisor, and others to support effective communication, quality standards, and efficient job performance.
• Perform tasks according to company procedures, safety policies, and personnel policies.
• Operate skid loaders, tractors, front-end loaders, and other pertinent machinery to remove snow from sidewalks and driveways.
• Follow instructions from the Zone Coordinator and Area Supervisor, meet deadlines, and maintain the assigned schedule.
• Perform ice management as needed and as directed by the Zone Coordinator and Area Supervisor.
• Apply salt as needed and as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; responsibilities and tasks may change as needed.
