About The Position

Provide internal and external guest service while preparing all food and drink orders in a quick and timely manner; completes payment transactions efficiently and accurately when working in assigned outlets. This role is responsible for fast and clean servicing of all menu items to the guests and ensures each order sent out is uniform and consistent. It also involves controlling food production to include proper cooking methods, cooking time and temperature and ensures sanitation, handling and storage of prepared food and leftovers. The attendant will greet and complete payment transactions for guest orders while working in assigned outlets on a POS (point of sale) system, accept payment and accurately give change back to the guest. They will deliver food items to guests, adequately prepare for known peak business levels, and effectively maintain a high level of guest service. The role also includes preparing all food items from standardized recipes, and if 21 years of age or older, performing the duties of a Bartender or Barback as needed. Additionally, the attendant will perform the duties of a Beverage Server, Food Server, or Cashier/Host, as well as a Server Assistant, Food Expediter, Steward or Cook in the outlets as needed. The position requires the ability to handle high volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat and cheerful. Building guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers and making them feel welcome, comfortable, and inviting them back is essential. The attendant will observe all activity within the assigned area, offering assistance to all guests, and reporting anything out of the ordinary. They must be capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibiting the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require management attention, and resolving situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships. Ensuring all guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions, utilizing open body language, politely speaking with and assisting guests as needed, and assisting in maintaining a spotless facility by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left by guests are key aspects of the role. The attendant will maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner, encouraging others to do the same. They are empowered to resolve guest disputes quickly and efficiently up to a pre-determined amount, otherwise ensuring a manager is notified immediately. Crosstraining in other F&B areas is also expected, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain KRGC Gaming License.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operations, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • One year of direct customer contact experience, preferred.
  • Previous money handling experience preferred.
  • Display professionalism; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance as outlined in the Gilley’s Team Member Handbook.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel and grip items.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time (8-12 hours).
  • Have a sense of urgency and keep up with fast paced business practices.
  • Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas with secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
