About The Position

The SMT Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing day-to-day SMT production in an electronics manufacturing environment. This position provides leadership to production operators and ensures safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and employee engagement objectives are consistently achieved.

Requirements

• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in electronics and SMT manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and production management systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and structured problem solving.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage production activities across multiple SMT lines, shifts, and product families.
• Monitor line performance, output, downtime, utilization, throughput, and schedule attainment.
• Ensure proper staffing and allocation of resources based on production requirements.
• Maintain strong floor presence and provide real-time leadership during production activities.
• Ensure timely containment and corrective action for manufacturing defects.
• Utilize data and production metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive reduction of downtime, changeover losses, material shortages, and production interruptions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company EHS requirements.
• Ensure employees follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, ESD controls, and equipment safety standards.
