  • Handle machine adjustments: Make minor machine adjustments, such as correcting component placement, package sizes, and clearing machine jams.
  • Execute changeovers: Efficiently perform line changeovers for different products in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Verify materials: Check component and feeder part numbers against the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure the correct parts are used.
  • Follow industry standards: Ensure all work meets quality standards, such as IPC-A-610, for the acceptability of electronic assemblies.
  • Use specialized knowledge: Correctly handle moisture-sensitive devices (MSDs) and follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions.
  • Troubleshoot issues: Diagnose and resolve standard equipment and process issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Provide support: Work with technicians and engineers to resolve more complex quality and production problems.
  • Make minor program edits: Understand the basics of machine programming to make simple adjustments or corrections to an existing program.
  • Complete production logs: Keep accurate records of production activities, including performance, yield rates, defects, and machine downtime.
  • Follow work instructions: Meticulously follow manufacturing instructions, schematics, and process sheets.
  • Communicate effectively: Clearly communicate production status, issues, and shift updates to management, maintenance, and other operators.
