About The Position

This role is at the Macomb, MI Conagra Plant, producing Duke's Meat Snacks. The Smokehouse Specialist reports to the Production Team Leader and is responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure continuous production. The team consists of over 50 associates. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. The shift is 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with a $0.50 raise after 90 days. Pay is distributed weekly.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, Outlook email
• An understanding of HACCP
• The ability to regularly lift up to 60lbs
• A willingness to cross-train

Responsibilities

• Operate all different machines and equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Supply the lines to ensure a continuous production flow.
• Perform product checks to ensure quality for consumers.
• Collaborate with all departments to support production demand and maintain product quality standards.
• Maintain a clean work area to comply with food safety and OSHA requirements.
• Participate in ongoing efficiency projects.
