Responsibilities include management oversight of production, workload scheduling, policies/procedures management, provides production staffing assistance, performs production work as necessary and instills quality and safety consciousness among all production employees. Essential Job Duties Oversee overall production assignments to ensure quality control and maximum productivity of employees in accordance with Production requirements. Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Encourage employee suggestions, develop safety awareness among employees and enforce all applicable safety regulations and Company practices and procedures. Review maintenance checklists and equipment repair schedules on a regular and frequent basis. Supervise hazardous waste program and all other applicable governmental regulatory agency programs. Supervise the maintenance of production equipment. Assure all materials needed for optimum economic production are available. Ensure proper material controls and actively participates with monthly inventory process. Perform monthly inventory of production supplies. Perform production work as necessary. Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ Corporation quality improvement system. Assume other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent
  • Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead / supervisor experience
  • Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives
  • Frequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management
  • Can present, resolve and address delicate situations
  • Can motivate and persuade others
