About The Position

Serves as an instructor/course developer and provides resident staff logistics expertise in various logistic disciplines including Field and Sustainment supply activities, property management, unit movement, maintenance management, Logistics Information Systems (LIS), logistics readiness reporting, and maintenance of various types of equipment (wheeled and tracked vehicles, engineer, armament, small arms, communications equipment, night vision devices, nuclear, biological and chemical systems, TMDE, and drivers training).

Collaborates with the G4 COMET Manager to develop a logistics assessment, review, and analysis program compliant with supported Commanders' intent and policies. This involves preparing and delivering briefings, point papers, reports, and fact sheets. The program is based on applicable Army regulations, field manuals, technical manuals, Safety of Use Messages (SOUM's), Maintenance Advisory Messages (MAM's), FORSCOM and local command supplements, and other governing directives. The program focuses on logistics readiness events like the Army Strategic Readiness Assessment (ASRA), Logistics Readiness Review (LRR), and the FORSCOM Readiness Review (FRR), culminating in a report summarizing all assessments for the Commanders.

Responsible for providing a comprehensive assessment of logistics training, defining training requirements, analyzing perishable skills, identifying Terminal Learning Objectives (TLO), developing outcome metrics, and providing hands-on evaluation for logistics training. This includes drafting training curricula for G4 approval, emphasizing hands-on instruction for Soldiers, identifying requirements for systems embedded training, determining Training Aids, Devices, Simulations and Simulators (TADSS) needs, and coordinating the development of TADSS materials. Assistance will be provided to develop associated POI materials such as lesson plans, student handouts, and instructor manuals for USG approval.

Coordinates and performs cyclic quality assurance assistance to supported units, providing formal/informal assessments, advice, and assistance for compliance with cited programs. Feedback is provided to FORSCOM and/or Corps and Division Commanders for consideration in areas such as Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP), Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP), Command Deployment Discipline Program (CDDP), Command Food Service Discipline Program (CFSDP), Operational Readiness Surveys (ORS), Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) Verification Audits, Maintenance Management Operations, Emergency Deployment Safety Checks, Major Supporting Command (MSC), Brigade Assistance Visits, Army Award for Maintenance Excellence Program, Supply Excellence Award Program, Aviation Resource Management (ARMS) Assistance Visits and Verification Audits, and Small Arms Repair Parts (SARP) Assistance Visits and Verification Audits.

Requirements

• Five years' experience in management of tasks involving the sustainment and maintenance of Army supplies and equipment.
• Ability to communicate directly to, and through correspondence, with senior Army leaders to include General Officer.
• Experience in the analysis of command logistics programs to include shortcomings, development of corrective recommendations and presentation of findings to the senior leadership for decision.
• Subject Matter Expert with five years' experience in The Army Maintenance Management System.
• Subject Matter Expert with five years' experience in The Army Materiel Maintenance Policy.
• Subject Matter Expert with five years' experience in Supply Policy Below the National Level.
