About The Position

Prescient Edge is seeking a SME- Data Scientist to support a Federal Government client. This position is contingent upon contract award. The role requires demonstrated mastery and employment of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques. It also involves significant experience with data science techniques such as logistic regression, vector analysis, natural language processing, principal component analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, deep learning models, and image recognition. Proficiency in tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages like Python, R, or Julia is essential for delivering unique insights. Familiarity with agile software development project management frameworks is also expected.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mastery and employment of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with data science techniques including logistic regression, vector, natural language processing, principal component analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, deep learning models, image recognition and algorithm employment or development.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia, etc.).
  • MA or MS from an accredited institution of higher learning in a STEM-related discipline AND 5 years of relevant experience; OR BA/BS degree in a STEM-related discipline AND 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a CI Poly if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with IT, business, or operational metrics platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Confluence, etc.).
  • Certification in AWS (AI/ML specialty).
  • Knowledge of the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) production chain.
  • Experience working within a DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) operational environment and with DoD/IC geospatial data repositories.
  • Familiarity with Army, DoD or IC GEOINT or Geospatial processes, policy and programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools to deliver reports, graphics and briefings.
  • Familiarity with agile software development project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Employ geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques.
  • Apply data science techniques including logistic regression, vector analysis, natural language processing, principal component analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, deep learning models, and image recognition.
  • Develop or employ algorithms in support of data science techniques.
  • Perform tabular analysis, SQL queries, and scripting using languages like Python, R, or Julia to deliver unique insights.
  • Familiarize with agile software development project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) to deliver new capability.
