About The Position

Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking an SME Computer/Applications Programmer to work for our company. The client agency is Customs & Border Protection. This role serves as a senior expert in areas relevant to the project, producing/reviewing substantive and/or complex technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of technical areas. Documentation subjects shall include but not be limited to business and systems architecture, feasibility studies, and emerging technologies and business approaches. The role interfaces with Government executive personnel. The programmer will design, write, and test code that allows computer applications and software programs to function properly, devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. This position participates as a high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software. The programmer will design and code software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development schedules, and will test and debug assigned components and units. This role also participates in large systems and subsystem planning and adheres to product build and release schedules and strategies, acting as a technical resource for lower-level developers.

Requirements

Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability.
Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies.
Must have a bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of experience in an IT related field.
Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
