About The Position

Hawaiian Telcom is seeking motivated, relationship-driven professionals to join their Business Field Sales team as SMB Field Sales Reps. This role focuses on providing local businesses with the connectivity they need to grow. It is a commission-based position with a competitive base salary and uncapped commission potential, offering top performers the chance to earn over $100,000 annually. A $3,000 training bonus is provided upon successful completion of the 30-day training program. The Business Field Sales Representative will act as the primary contact for local companies, meeting business owners in person, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate fiber, voice, and business solutions. This field-based role is suited for self-starters who enjoy community engagement, building partnerships, and earning commissions.

Requirements

  • Four years of High School or equivalent
  • 0 to 2 years in related field
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Excellent listening skills and business-focused communication skills.
  • Ability to understand a broad range of products, services, procedures, and systems.
  • Strong consultative selling abilities, including needs assessment and solution-focused problem solving.
  • Ability to think strategically when presenting solutions to business customers.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Door-to-door or in-person prospecting experience is a plus.
  • Business-to-business (B2B), field sales, or outside sales preferred.
  • Relevant business, sales, or technical coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person, field-based sales outreach to businesses within assigned territories.
  • Meet or exceed sales, service, and productivity targets.
  • Present and promote business fiber internet, voice, and managed services to small and midsize businesses.
  • Assess each business's needs and recommend the most effective connectivity and communication solutions from our full portfolio.
  • Build a deep understanding of all Hawaiian Telcom business products, services, bundles, and new offerings.
  • Stay current on all promotional offers, service availability, and assigned territory/business segments.
  • Understand internal systems used to qualify and support business customers.
  • Maintain detailed customer documentation, follow-up, and pipeline updates.
  • Demonstrate strong application of all training provided, including product knowledge and sales skills.
