About The Position

ADT is seeking a bright, assertive, technically skilled, customer-focused manager to lead a team of 10 to 15 Tech Engineers in a designated geographic footprint. Tech Engineers are a hybrid sales and technical workforce who conduct in-home consultative walkthroughs, identify customer vulnerabilities, recommend security and smart home equipment and solutions, install and configure devices, educate and train customers, and set up tailored smart home routines and automations. They also generate sales and installation appointments through referrals and prospecting, activities expected to take about 10% of their time. The Team Manager takes a hands-on approach to driving sales and operational performance against key performance indicators, while building a high-performing team and culture. The manager trains, upskills, coaches, hires, onboards, and retains team members, and helps deliver a high-quality customer experience. The role offers a base salary of $47,000 and performance-based earning potential, including salary and commission, targeting $125,000. A monthly auto allotment and mileage reimbursement are also offered. Requirements

3 to 5 years of people leadership experience, including direct experience managing customer-facing team members in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
Proven track record of building and developing high-performing, customer-centric teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with firsthand experience in consultative selling and educating customers about products and services.
Highly analytical, with strong conceptual problem-solving ability.
Driven and entrepreneurial, with the ability to manage a diverse team and achieve budgeted targets with minimal oversight.
Associate degree or equivalent related experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and manage the activities of the High-Volume Tech Engineer Design Specialists workforce for a designated geographic footprint.
Train, mentor, develop, motivate, and coach Tech Engineers to generate leads, upsell equipment, deliver consultative customer experiences, and install smart home products suited to customer needs.
Build relationships between new customers and the ADT brand and product portfolio, and understand and communicate ADT and its smart home solutions.
Participate in recruiting activities to select and hire new Tech Engineers as required.
Formulate a business plan that provides cost-efficient service and supports targeted growth in accordance with established plans and market-share targets.
Conduct regular team huddles and staff meetings to communicate and coach on policies, procedures, techniques, products, services, promotions, advertising, and individual and team metrics.
Conduct regular coaching and formal performance-management conversations with Tech Engineers.
Maintain high-quality and timely job completion to support customer retention.
Model and champion ADT values, creating a safe environment to discuss and resolve values-related issues and concerns.
Drive team performance across sales and operational key performance indicators, and execute programs to train and upskill existing employees and hire, onboard, and retain new employees.
