Magnolia Plumbing, LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Small Scavenger Truck Technician to join our Wastewater Management team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience operating vacuum trucks and performing diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of waste systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments. Requirements

GED or high school diploma required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Knowledge of general mathematics and language skills.
Ability to drive, lift, and operate heavy tools and equipment.
CDL Class B license with tanker endorsement or CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement required.
Valid DOT Medical Card required.
Knowledge of Federal Department of Transportation regulations and governing disposal facility requirements.
Ability to obtain Confined Space Safety Certification.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance procedures.
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented mindset.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience operating vacuum trucks or similar fleet vehicles preferred.
Working knowledge of waste systems including grease interceptors, storm water management facilities, oil/sand interceptors, elevator shaft pits, ejector systems, septic tanks, and sewer lines preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate small scavenger and vacuum trucks safely and efficiently.
Perform general diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on waste systems.
Service grease interceptors, storm water management facilities, oil/sand interceptors, elevator shaft pits, ejector systems, septic tanks, and sewer lines.
Utilize tools and heavy equipment necessary to complete assigned service work.
Comply with all Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and disposal facility requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to service calls and inspections.
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
Work collaboratively with team members and management to complete projects efficiently.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Obtain and maintain required certifications and safety training, including Confined Space Safety Certification.
