GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Advanced Composite Supervisor reports to Light RTM Composites Manager. The Advance Composite Supervisor is responsible for overseeing large infusion and RTM production lines, including safety, quality, production output, production-related metrics, administrative requirements, and departmental improvement initiatives. This role communicates production priorities to employees, supports employee relations and development, and works closely with other production supervisors, managers, Quality Control, and Product Design and Development to ensure department goals are achieved. This position embodies and champions the core values, standards, and guiding philosophies of Nautique Boat Company, ensuring their consistent application across all duties and organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Must be a licensed driver with a safe driving record, subject to MVR
  • Supervisory leadership skills with the ability to communicate clearly, direct and delegate work, support employee performance and development, maintain confidentiality, manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and respond calmly to changing production needs or emergency situations.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry
  • Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds in an office setting; ability to lift 40 pounds when necessary, in production areas
  • Visual acuity to view screens and read documents

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years to 3 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages operations in his/her area to ensure the safe and timely completion of production schedules or department work by effectively utilizing people, equipment, and material. This includes coordinating Team Leaders (if applicable), time and production records, and ensuring that job assignments and work are set up for employees in the department.
  • Ensures the team’s overall quality levels (quality of product or department work) and on-time delivery schedules are maintained.
  • Interacts with various levels of people in the plant as needed, including quality control, industrial engineering, product development, and design.
  • Supervises employee activities. This includes evaluation and discipline; overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems; initiating or suggesting plans to motivate workers to achieve goals; and effective communication with associates.
  • Maintains safe working conditions in his/her area. Continually works on safety awareness with associates. Enforces safety regulations.
  • Inspects production/department work to verify conformance to specifications and directs any adjustments as needed.
  • Studies production/department work schedules and estimates employee hour requirements for completion of work. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production/department schedules and goals.
  • Continually works on process improvement and department efficiency. This includes recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, overall work quality, working conditions, and use of equipment.
  • Communicates with other supervisors or managers as needed to coordinate activities of respective departments or areas.
  • Actively participates with the entire Operation Team to support strategic plans and implement initiatives.
  • Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
