About The Position

Seattle-based general contractor with a focus on remodeling, is looking for a skilled, experienced Small Jobs Division(SJD) Technician. This person is a motivated, honest, and reliable individual who will bring professionalism and their work experience to our company. Job Description: As an SJD Technician, you’ll play a vital role as the second-in-command on job sites, supporting the SJD Supervisor in delivering exceptional carpentry work. From demolition to high-end finish carpentry, you’ll ensure projects meet MRM’s quality standards while fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential remodel carpentry.
Proven expertise in high-end finish carpentry.
Strong understanding of general remodel techniques and processes.
Reliable transportation and a good driving record.
Ability to bring personal tools (e.g., cordless drills, nail bags, hand tools).
Comfortable using email, text, and phone for communication.

Responsibilities

Perform general residential carpentry, including rough and finish work.
Execute demolition, deconstruction, and site preparation tasks.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
Assist the SJD Supervisor in managing crew members, subcontractors, and project schedules.
Communicate effectively with the Supervisor, team, and clients.
Protect client property and ensure proper site containment.
Conduct material inspections and assist with take-offs.
Adhere to safety protocols and encourage sustainability practices.
