About The Position

Atlanta Prep is seeking a dedicated and patient small group Art Teacher to provide instruction to students with diverse learning profiles. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art, skilled in differentiating instruction, and committed to helping students develop fine-motor skills and build knowledge in art techniques. This is an opportunity to do impactful work in a setting where individualized instruction is truly prioritized. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of art techniques and mediums
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and use creative teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage art materials, inventory, and budget responsibly and safely
  • Proficiency in classroom management
  • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping students succeed

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Provide small group (2-5 students) art instruction for special needs students
  • Develop and implement differentiated art lessons that support students with fine-motor and sensory challenges
  • Provide explicit instruction in art techniques
  • Integrate fine-motor skill development into lessons for students who require additional support
  • Collaborate with staff to support student goals
  • Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment
