About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing small complex to less complicated motorized equipment. The mechanic will analyze and determine the cause of equipment malfunctions, receive work orders, select appropriate tools and materials, and test repairs to ensure conformity to procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a valid driver's license at time of employment.
• Six (6) years of experience in small engine repair work or automotive repair work.
• Ability to use independent judgment in planning sequence of operations in selecting proper tools and materials.
• Ability to comprehend mechanical manuals and guidelines.
• Requires ability to apply shop mathematics to practical problems.
• Requires manual hand finger dexterity.
• Requires eye-hand-foot coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs small complex to less complicated motorized equipment such as generators, pool pumps, tractors, weed-eaters, edgers, grass cutters, blowers, trimmers, walking and mowers.
• Analyzes and determines cause of equipment malfunctions.
• Receives work orders and selects appropriate tools and materials.
• Tests repairs to assure conformity to procedures.
