About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Tool Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Cincinnati, OH. This role involves providing general maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company owned tooling and small equipment. Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest equipment in the industry. The position is a hybrid role between shop technician, yard technician, and delivery driver when needed. The company utilizes a proprietary T3 platform to support its operations and employees.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Active applicable state class driver's license
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Nice To Haves

  • Construction knowledge and background preferred
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

  • Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
