About The Position

United Ag & Turf is a John Deere dealership serving customers in commercial, construction, agricultural, and consumer industries across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. The Small Engine Mechanic performs repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTVs, and other small-engine equipment, with some direction or guidance from the Service Manager. The role also involves operating and maintaining required vehicles, tools, and equipment; following safety requirements; completing reports and forms; accounting for time and materials; and keeping the work area clean and orderly. The employee may participate in service training programs to develop skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and follow manufacturer pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and setup.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-transmission, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.
• Must provide the tools necessary to complete assigned jobs.
