About The Position

Advanced Roofing, Inc. is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical problems in small equipment. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, handling road and service calls, and accurately completing repair records. The mechanic will interpret equipment technical manuals, follow troubleshooting guidelines, and adhere to safe waste disposal procedures. They will also provide repair time estimates, test equipment before returning it to service, and properly use hand and power tools. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school or GED accepted
1 year of mechanical experience with small parts/engines required
Minimum 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
Must be eligible to drive company’s vehicles
Successful Background Check
Requires standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling, bending, twisting, keeping or regaining balance
Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
Consistent use of Proper Protective Equipment PPE when working on or around equipment parts or components
Ability to work with minimal supervision at times and able to work within a specific set of directions
Requires working under deadlines to get the equipment back into service
Requires work with others in a group or team

Nice To Haves

Technical school certification preferred

Responsibilities
