The Small Commercial Senior Account Manager – CORE is a key contributor and trusted resource for both clients and teammates. This role combines strong account management expertise with mentorship, problem-solving, and operational support. You’ll work closely with Producers, leadership, and carrier partners to deliver exceptional service, support team growth, and help drive the continued success of CORE. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience, preferably within an independent agency environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of commercial lines products, coverage analysis, and carrier underwriting requirements.
  • Proven ability to mentor, train, and support the development of team members.
  • Experience identifying and recommending process improvements and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to think strategically and work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (from an accredited university) in Business or related field preferred.
  • Property & Casualty license - preferred
  • Professional designation such as CISR, CIC, CRM, or equivalent preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of expertise and leadership in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing commercial accounts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Commercial Lines coverage, carrier requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to team members to support their professional development and ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Partner with leadership to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, enhance client service, and support operational excellence.
  • Act as a resource for complex client situations, coverage questions, and escalated service issues.
  • Assist Producers in handling and processing new commercial lines business, particularly for more complex or high-value accounts.
  • Review renewal requests, endorsements, audits, and policy documents for accuracy, completeness, and coverage adequacy.
  • Prepare and review Auto ID Cards, Evidence of Property, Summaries of Insurance, Certificates of Insurance, and Binders.
  • Obtain renewal information requested by company underwriters and assist with renewal strategy as needed.
  • Prepare pre-renewal packets and maintain underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
  • Review company-issued new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, forms, endorsements, and coverages.
  • Review all ACORD applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with accounting to invoice all premium-bearing agency bill transactions.
  • Handle telephone requests and written miscellaneous correspondence (e.g., bank requests).
  • Process cancellation requests and assist with retention strategies when appropriate.
  • Stay current on insurance forms, market trends, and coverage changes through bulletins, circulars, and continuing education.
  • Assist with claims processing and follow-up when needed.
  • Service commercial lines accounts in a manner that eliminates gaps in coverage and reduces E&O exposure.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers, producers, and carrier partners.
  • Support account rounding and cross-selling initiatives by identifying additional coverage opportunities.
  • Remarket existing business when necessary, based on market conditions, coverage needs, or client requests.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development in alignment with The Ansay Way.
