About The Position

Makes and services a variety of small business loans and 1-4 family dwelling secured loans for consumer or business purposes. Provides other customer services as may be required. Cross sells bank products and services.

Requirements

Must maintain current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or have the ability to be registered within 30 days of employment as a loan officer.
Understands and adheres to all compliance issues, attends training as required and related to this position, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, US Patriot Act, and Security.
Must have knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending (Reg Z) and Fair Lending Policy.

Responsibilities

Makes and services loans under standard procedures based on bank policies and federal regulations.
Interviews loan customers; Obtains and analyzes necessary financial information; performs credit checks; prepares loan documentation.
Makes decisions on loan and terms within own authority or recommends loan to superior officer or loan committee.
Conducts regular reviews of current loans, watches for any potential problems.
Monitors loan repayment activities and past due accounts; initiates collection action as necessary.
Corrects credit and/or loan documentation exceptions and collateral deficiencies.
Calls on potential and existing customers as part of bank's business development activities; services existing loans; cross sells bank products and services.
Voting member of Loan Committee.
Participates in community affairs as a representative of the bank.
Must maintain current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or have the ability to be registered within 30 days of employment as a loan officer.
Work with third party service providers, such as attorneys, title companies, and other vendors.
May make on-site inspections of construction in progress or perform floor plan audits.
Stays abreast of regulator changes affecting lending.
Provide underwriting review for consumer loans on Decision Pro.
Reviews and services SBA loans, Participations, purchased loans or pools of loans.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
