Requirements

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license acquired upon hire or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
  • 2+ years of insurance industry preferred
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with a focus on building and maintaining long-term client relationships strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, build meaningful connections, and calmly de-escalate situations of frustration

Responsibilities

  • Manage the renewal process and client retention initiatives, including preparing and sending renewal summaries to clients 90 days prior to renewal.
  • Proactively gather information regarding business changes, coverage needs, and updates to certificate holders.
  • Review renewal offers from carriers for accuracy and determine whether policies should be renewed, remarketed, or bound.
  • Remarket insurance coverage as needed, including preparing applications, requesting loss runs, obtaining quotes, and coordinating with carriers.
  • Bind renewals in accordance with carrier requirements and established binding authority.
  • Complete the renewal process, including preparing ID cards, certificates, binders, evidence of insurance, invoices, and other required documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for additional lines of coverage, increased limits, or other products and services that appropriately meet client needs.
  • Coordinate the preparation, organization, and submission of required documentation and information.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and organizational offerings through ongoing professional development.
  • Pursue and obtain a P&C license and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings and training to support business objectives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and carrier partners, responding to calls, emails, and other inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering timely, consistent, and high-quality service.
  • Listen to client needs, recognize opportunities, and provide clear information and guidance to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Process and coordinate client requests, policy changes, and account updates while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify policy and account information and facilitate corrections when necessary.
  • Process cancellation correspondence from various sources and communicate next steps to clients when appropriate.
  • Email or mail applicable audits to insureds within 24 hours of receipt and follow established audit procedures for follow-up.
  • Escalate or coordinate complex issues with appropriate internal team members and carrier partners when necessary.
  • Manage incoming mail and other account-related correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documentation, and account information in the agency management system, Applied EPIC.
  • Ensure all required documentation and renewal activity is properly recorded in Applied EPIC.
  • Follow established processes, policies, carrier requirements, and best practices to support operational efficiency and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to resolve service issues and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Assist with continuous process improvement initiatives and support the team through challenges, implementations, and capacity constraints.
  • Serve as a backup to other Select Lines team members to provide coverage during absences and periods of increased workload.
  • Utilize technology and organizational tools effectively to enhance productivity, communication, and client service.
  • Maintain a global mindset and serve as a positive ambassador for Winter-Dent & Co.
