About The Position

An established small animal veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its medical team. This position is suited for a veterinarian with strong clinical experience, excellent diagnostic abilities, and an interest in internal medicine and advanced diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure.
Strong proficiency in abdominal ultrasound.
Strong interest and experience in internal medicine.
Comfortable managing complex medical cases.
Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice.
Commitment to providing thorough, high-quality veterinary care.

Nice To Haves

Experience with echocardiography is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care for small animal patients.
Perform thorough physical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic plans.
Conduct and interpret abdominal ultrasound examinations.
Evaluate and manage complex medical and internal medicine cases.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic results.
Provide preventive and wellness care.
Communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and prognosis clearly to clients.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other medical team members.
Participate in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
