About The Position
Greater Cincinnati Veterinary Specialists has an opening for a residency trained veterinary or board-certified internist to expand our internal medicine team. GCVS is a specialty and referral hospital that also provides emergency and urgent care. At GCVS, our referral veterinarians are all board-certified in their field. Our technician and support team are tenured and highly capable of supporting our veterinarians with any patient needs that come through our doors! Our practice remains innovative in offering the latest medical techniques and equipment available. We offer a wide range of services including internal medicine, dermatology, surgery, and rehabilitation. Our Internal Medicine department consists of two Board Certified Veterinary Internists, and we also offer neurology, cardiology, and oncology services. The services provided include, but are not limited to ultrasound, CT imaging, video otoscopic services, endoscopy, colonoscopy, intradermal allergen screening testing, and other specialty testing not typically found in a general veterinary practice. Our Specialists are highly educated in their fields of expertise. Our Surgery Service is led by a Board-Certified Surgeon with extensive experience in soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgery. Our Emergency Department is adept at handling critical cases, with consultation available on evenings, Fridays, and weekends. We also provide therapeutic laser procedures for both treatment and rehabilitation. GCVS is conveniently located near the University of Cincinnati, offering access to excellent academic resources and a vibrant city life with professional sports teams like FC Cincinnati, the Bengals, and the Reds. The Northern Kentucky Greater Cincinnati International Airport is a short 20-minute drive away, and the area boasts highly-rated public schools, making it an ideal location for families. Requirements
- Residency trained veterinary or board-certified internist
- Board certified, or residency trained Internist
- Highly motivated
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License or obtained upon hire
