Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) SM-6 program area in Tucson, AZ, within the Naval Power (NP) Strategic Business Unit is looking for a highly motivated finance professional to lead the management and oversight of a critical munitions program with annual revenues exceeding $250M with significant complexity and senior leadership visibility. The candidate will partner with Program Management, Functional Leads and Finance Leadership to ensure effective program execution through cost & schedule control, financial compliance and capture future awards to grow the portfolio. Key expectations include managing a program controls team of 5, responsible for contract execution as well as all internal reporting and forecasting. This leader will ensure the development of quarterly EACs, timely delivery of CDRLs and ensure compliant Earned Value Management reporting according to contract terms, RTX policy and process description. You will also partner with the proposal team to capture future scope and grow the portfolio. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced Strategic Business Unit where tactical thinking, multitasking and initiative are key requirements. You must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and comfortable with new challenges while driving an existing team to meet financial milestones. Good communication skills are a must, along with the ability to effectively interact with multiple layers of leadership and make recommendations for appropriate solutions. This position is currently designated as onsite.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Hands-On experience with SAP Business Systems, APEX, and BW Toolset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience developing Estimate at completes.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience with SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, BW) or similar tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and customer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of 4-5 analysts, proactively plan for future staffing needs.
  • Serve as the financial point of contact for Program Management, providing financial guidance to IPT key team members and non-finance organizations, including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Develop, support, and review Estimates at Completion (EAC).
  • Develop and validate the delivery of Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs).
  • Collaborate with Control Account Managers (CAMs), project schedulers, and other functional leads to ensure data integrity and accurate cost/schedule integration.
  • Support compliance reviews and periodic process audits.
  • Develop, support, and review current forecasts and AOP/LRP planning cycles
